From September 12th to 22nd 2019, the biennial Frankfurt Motor Show will be showcasing the newest and most exciting vehicles around, including the Mini Cooper Electric, 2019 Porsche Taycan S, Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo, Volkswagen ID.3 Electric EV Hatchback, NEW 2020 Land Rover Defender and Audi RS6 Avant.
The New 2019 Nissan Juke will also be on stage (although this has already been unveiled ahead of its Frankfurt debut) as well as the innovative Mercedes-Benz ESF 2019 Concept.
And that’s just for starters…
What’s hot | Exciting new vehicles at 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show
NEW 2020 Land Rover Defender
This model has to be the most talked about across our social media channels and – finally! – we are more than ready for the all-new Defender to be rolled out in all its glory at Frankfurt. We are expecting retro styling and innovative technology that is designed to be fully equipped to cope with all modern motoring challenges.
With a wide range of engine choices, the new Defender will come with a touch screen infotainment system, air suspension and a smart interior finish. Variants will include short (90), long (110) and extended (130) wheelbase models.
To stand up to critics – of which there are many, especially given the dedicated number of previous Land Rover Defender model fans – it will need to be just as capable off road as its predecessor.
Let’s hope that it’s the star of the show.
MINI Cooper Electric
The electric MINI Cooper SE will take the stage along with the petrol, diesel and hybrid versions in Frankfurt this year.
This full EV has a 32.6-kWh battery and single electric motor that produces 181 horsepower. The front-wheel-drive SE is said to hit 60mph in just 7.3 seconds, with a top speed (limited) of 93 mph.
The SE will have a superb range of 146 to 168 miles in Europe. Although at this stage, we don’t know too much more about charging this model, the manufacturer has said that it can be charged at up to 50 kW, meaning that an 80 percent charge can be achieved in 35 minutes with a DC fast charger.
Skoda Kamiq Monte Carlo
The Skoda Kamiq SUV is a new addition to the Czech marque’s range, but it has wasted no time in introducing the sporty Monte Carlo to the line-up. As seen on the Fabia, this variant pays homage to Skoda’s celebrated success on the Monte Carlo Rally.
Sporting unique badges, black grille trim and roof rails, the Kamiq Monte Carlo is sure to be a real head-turner.
Volkswagen ID.3 Electric EV Hatchback
VW’s ID.3 hatchback is Volkswagen’s first car that has been designed from the outset to be a pure EV.
It is similar in size to its sibling, the Golf, and will be available in a choice of two electric motor versions – 150 or 204 horsepower – with three battery sizes. The ID will have an outstanding range of between 205 and 340 miles.
There are only going to be 30,000 available, with production due to start later in 2019.
Audi RS6 Avant
We love the Audi Avant, and the prospect of the RS6 station wagon sets our hearts racing. It looks fantastic and boasts a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8.
The Audi RS6 Avant has bigger wheel arches, larger air intakes and larger wheels than the standard A6 Avant and thanks to a whopping 591 of horsepower, this mild-hybrid will sprint to 62mph in a rapid 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 155mph! What’s more, this can be extended to 174mph or 189.5mph with the optional Dynamic and Dynamic Plus packages.
Hold on to your seats, folks!
2019 Porsche Taycan S
Another exciting one for fast-car fanatics, the 2019 Porsche Taycan S is Porsche’s first ever EV production car.
Once again, Porsche started from the ground up with the Taycan, developing a ‘skateboard’ platform to accommodate a pair of electric motors, with one on each axle to power all four wheels, and the battery pack.
The motors generate 592 horsepower combined and the production Taycan will hit 62 mph in less than 3.0 seconds!
New 2019 Nissan Juke
The 2019 Nissan Juke has already been unveiled ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show, nine years after its predecessor.
The overhaul is notable, with the Juke receiving quite a change in exterior style. It is also larger and has more room inside for all passengers – and it’s 23kg lighter! All New Nissan Juke models are powered by a 1.0-litre 117hp turbocharged, three-cylinder petrol engine.
Later on, Nissan has confirmed that the Juke will be available as a plug-in hybrid with an anticipated all-electric driving range of around thirty miles. You can order your New Nissan Juke now from Rosedale Leasing – soonest deliveries are scheduled towards the end of November.
Mercedes-Benz ESF 2019 Concept
Last – but not least! – we can’t forget the Mercedes-Benz ESF 2019 Concept.
The ESF 2019 is based on the GLE SUV plug-in hybrid and boasts a plethora of advanced and rather experimental safety tech, including autonomy capabilities (Level 4). Are you ready to allow your car to take charge of driving?
If so, watch this space!
